2002 NATL APWU CONVENTION IN MINNEAPOLIS, MN

HISTORIC NATIONAL APWU 16TH BIENNIAL CONVENTION TO BE HELD FROM AUGUST 5-17, 2002 IN MINNEAPOLIS, MN. AS A NEW GENERATION MOBILIZES FOR REAL ACTION!

A new generation of thousands of active APWU National, State, and Area Local/Local APWU Officers, Delegates, Members, and their families have made plans to attend the 2002 National APWU Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

They will be joined by another new generation of hundreds of APWU Retiree National, State, Area Local/Local, and State and Area Local/Local Chapter Officers, Delegates, Members, and their families for the first time in our memory.

Our National President William Burrus has created a wonderful setting at the Convention in which the new generation founders of our great union will unite with the new generation of active postal workers to better achieve all of our common goals.

John Sardin, Jr., Sec.-Treas., of our Florida Suncoast Retiree Chapter is an elected delegate and will attend all the functions including Human Relations, Pre-Convention Seminar classes on Retirement and Legislation, Retiree Convention, and the regular Convention from Aug. 12-16. Congratulations to John who will celebrate his 80th birthday. APWU Retiree life is great!

Jack Gose has been appointed Co-Chairperson of the Sergeant-at-Arms Committee at the 2002 National APWU Convention. Jack has served as Chair since 1978 in Denver, Colorado, a period of 24 years and 12 National APWU Conventions.
